Tasting tour discovering Montefalco’ town: the capital of Sagrantino’s wine. City tour and visit to a renowned local winery with final wine’s tasting and afternoon visit to the ancient medieval centre of Bevagna. (departure at 10 a.m. – return to 4,30 p.m.) INFORMATION: the hill town of Montefalco is best known as the “railing of Umbria”, allows its visitors to admire boundless landscapes of the greenest Umbria. Rich in masterpieces of important Umbrian School’s artists as Gozzoli and Perugino of XIII cent. Here the vine’s cultivation dates from Roman age and from XIV cent. people began to preserve wine inserting cultivation’s rules in the municipal Statutes. Bevagna is an enchanting medieval village which still preserves its ancient Roman and Medieval origins testified by the wonderful central square and by the fortified walls of I century b.C.
